Evolution Explained by a 7-year-old

The daughter was reading a stroy to me about the past, the present, and the future and suddenly she says “do you know that most people think we come from green algae?”. When I ask her about it she says she can’t really explain it to me without a blackboard – so after finishing the story she takes me out into the kitchen and starts drawing on the blackboard and telling me about how the green algae turned into “something small that looks like this” (and she drew an amoeba) and that later turned into something kinda like a monkey (but not a monkey) that then later turned into humans and monkeys. And somewhere along the line the amoeba turned into crocodiles and fish and birds.

It appears they actually do learn something at school.
